Agate comes from the rock formation class of Chalcedony and also quartz. It occurs naturally in many colours but is also often dyed brilliant bright colours. The dying process is designed bring out their vibrant patterns, this in no way affects their healing abilities or natural vibrations.
The beautiful banding and range of colors that make up the Agate gemstones were first discovered in the sweet flow of Sicilys Achates River, famed for its sapphire-blue hues and mystical riches hidden in the riverbed.
These stones were found by the Ancient Greek philosopher Theophrastus. At the time, Agates were considered to be a priceless discovery. They were said to ward off all kinds of evil, to heal scorpion stings and snakebites, to calm raging storms, and to bring victory in times of war.

Druzy geodes are formed when water brings minerals onto a rocks surface. As the water evaporates and cools the minerals are left behind and slowly build up to form crystals. There are many different types of druzies due to the large composition of minerals that collect on the crystal, creating tiny crystalline cells that resemble sugar and have the ability to refract light, illuminating the piece through its incredible sparkle.
